One Year Later

We still  want to make the best and most wonderful tasting goodies we can. We are always testing new flavors and recipes, but at the same time keeping the favorites.

Our Story

Laureen and I had played with shop names for years. We could never really come up with one that would work. Then in 2008 my mom "mama" passed away very suddenly. She was a cookie jar collector, which is funny because she didn't like baking cookies, but she thought they were cute and fun. (When I grew up, I was the cookie baker to fill the cookie jars)

At about the same time I wanted a career change. My dad "papa" asked me what was stopping me from geting my dream of a shop going? I decided to go with my dream, but I still did't have a name. He had 50ish cookie jars that he didn't know what to do with.

So, Mama's Cookie Jar was started. When you visit the shop you will see anywhere for 20 to all 50 cookie jars on display plus a few new ones in the mix.

Bob - Part time dish washer while Jonathan is away at school
